Theropods
Theropods were a diverse group of primarily carnivorous dinosaurs that walked on two legs and ranged in size from small, bird-like hunters to some of the largest predators to ever live on land. This group includes well known species such as Tyrannosaurus, Allosaurus, Spinosaurus, and Velociraptor, as well as many lesser known but equally fascinating predators from across the Mesozoic era.
Theropods are often among the most recognizable dinosaurs, known for their sharp teeth, grasping claws, and forward facing eyes. Many later theropods are now understood to have had feathers, and modern birds are considered their direct descendants, making theropods one of the most successful dinosaur lineages in evolutionary history.
