Prehistoric Marine
Marine reptiles were reptiles that lived in the oceans during the age of dinosaurs. Although often grouped with dinosaurs in popular culture, they were a separate group of reptiles that adapted to life in the sea.
This group includes animals such as Mosasaurus, Plesiosaurus, Ichthyosaurus, and Kronosaurus. Some resembled dolphins, others had long necks and flippers, and some were large ocean predators that ruled prehistoric seas.
