About Brachiosaurus

Brachiosaurus is one of the most recognizable dinosaurs ever discovered. Living during the Late Jurassic approximately 154 to 150 million years ago in what is now North America, this immense sauropod was distinguished by its unusually long front legs, giving it a high-shouldered posture unlike any other giant dinosaur.

Growing over 22 metres (72 feet) in length and reaching heights approaching 13 metres (43 feet), Brachiosaurus browsed the tops of conifer trees, cycads, and other tall vegetation that few other herbivores could reach. Its elevated feeding strategy allowed it to occupy a unique ecological niche within the famous Morrison Formation.

Brachiosaurus shared its world with legendary dinosaurs including Allosaurus, Stegosaurus, Diplodocus, Apatosaurus, Camarasaurus, Ceratosaurus, and Dilophosaurus.
